I asked David about this a few years ago. Keeping CD Image playback out of Magic Engine is to deter piracy. If you want to play a game, purchase an original disc. It's really that simple.

Keeping CD image use out of ME is to deter piracy. If you want to play a game, you should buy an original game disc. It's just that simple.
