Hey Todd. If your motherboard or sound card has two CD or audio inputs (one may say AUX), try the second one. That's what worked for me.

Well it seems my original dilema is solved. I changed the audio cable from CD1 to CD 2 and I get the CD music from the back of the PC just as ethylene said. No more black screen from Magic Engine tho ...
