...because I don't like blurry interpolated game screens where some of the detail is averaged out, and other details look OVER averaged. I prefer to see every pixel as a square as God intended. Smile

Many emulator authors, imho, waste too much time creating filters and plugins when the original, unfettered image is what I want to see. Take for instance Visual Boy Advance, a fine emulator, but all too choppy under software-drawing mode. In order to get around this, you have to enable hardware acceleration, which includes (without any apparent way around it) applying some crazy visual filter, which interferes greatly with the viewing of the original video output.

Thank goodness David had a fabulous emulator core for the Magic Engine long before the fancy GUI and other features were introduced. Long live ME!

Actually, pixels are not square, and God intended old school video games to be played with a scanline filtering :)
