i just found out only 32 bit filtering works ("res_16bit=n" "res_32bit=y")
if you set to "res_16bit=y" and "res_32bit=n", none of 16 bit modes are shown or available..
it's likely some GUI features still ignoring 16bit modes and looking for 32bit color modes...

Ooops true, the custom screen resolutions were hardcoded to 32-bit so when only 16-bit was enabled it couldn't find any 32-bit resolution and failed. (^^;

I have fixed it, it will be in the next update.

then i found what caused desktop icon discoloration after closing MEFX..
i thought it was my display driver so didn't report it here...to solve the problem i had to reboot...

to use matrox dual display mode (two monitors as one) , bit depth of each desktop should be same....and i don't use 32bit mode for proformance issue (very slow), i got strange color glitch everytime i closed MEFX....this bugged me for months....now i know why...

Dave, could we have tis-small-bug-fixed verson of MEFX here ? Wink

i think i just found out another bug in MEFX... Razz
it looks like 336x224 mode isn't initilized just like ME had with 352x224 mode before.....when the game is on 336x224 mode, it always switches to GUI mode (640x480), clipping both side so sometimes you can't see whole text in the game, instead of custom value specified in "res_336="...i tested/confirmed this with Zeroigar...(stage-start-menu is 336x224 for easy-check)

**UPDATE**

o.k. this isn't a bug.....actually it seems between cut-scenes in Zeroigar use overscan mode (340x224 to be exact)..that's why it always returns to GUI mode after failing initilizing...i guess...

A 340x224 mode should be cropped to 336x224, at least that's what MEFX is supposed to do. I will check that may be it doesn't work as intended.
