Like I said, your problem may be drive related. To verify this, try any other recent cd-rom drive in your home pc ( the one from work spring to mind ) & check if the game works. If it does, then it's your current home cd-rom drive that's the problem. BUT if it doesn't then your problem may be with another component inside your pc or maybe even with windows himself.

Okay, i can't really just take the one from work and pop it into my own personal pc. But i will however attempt to get my hands on a newer cd-rom and i'll give it a shot. Thanks for the advice. I hope it works

actually i was never able to get it to work to begin with. I burned my backup usning CDRWIN. They were originally ISO 2048 and MP3 files, then I converted them to WAV and 2352 RAW iso files, and burned it. One thing I noticed is that there are TWO iso files on the original, one at track 2 and one at track 17, but for some reason when I make the backup, even after I double checked the CUE file, it only burns one of these two tracks!?!?!? From what I understand both data files are exactly the same.... anyways I get that same disk error message. By the way I used the exact same method to burn this as I do for backing up my saturn games, and they work fine. I hope you figure out what the problem is!

I also tried on both of my drives, I have one DVD drive and one CDRW drive, and both are about 2 years old. I even tried running the game using a CD Daemon tool, to run to make magic engine recognize the actuall back up file on my hard drive as a CD, but no luck.

Okay I know this doesn't exactly SOLVE the problem but it certainly gets around it. There is a program I found on a french website:

http://necstasy.emuchina.net/utils.htm

down towards the bottom, the program is called DAEMON tools, and it allows you to create a 'virtual CD drive' where you actually put your CD files (iso, wav, and cue files) into a directory, then tell this program where the cue file is and it will turn the files into a virtual CD. The best part is this WORKS WITH MAGIC ENGINE!!! So i put my backup files of Sapphire back onto my PC and used this DAEMON program to assign it a drive letter and now it works perfectly!!!! I'm a happy guy Smile!!!!
