This could be because your video card doesn't support rendering to a texture, what video card do you have? Did you try with OpenGL too?

Hmm, this doesn't look good, it should have worked more easily with OpenGL, could you copy or screenshot the error message you get when you select OpenGL?

Looks like you installed the default Microsoft graphic driver. Pay a visit to Matrox instead.

Sorry that the Matrox driver didn't help. Maybe your card doesn't have proper OpenGL support. Did you try MEFX again in DirectX mode with the new driver? And to be on the safe side, make sure you also installed the latest DirectX 9.0c driver.

What is wrong with your sound card? Is the Crystal SoundFusion a PCI card or an embedded chip? It's apparently based on the old CS4281 processor from Cirrus Logic. Do a Google search on "crystal soundfusion". There are many links available if you really need to update your driver.

The pixel_format extension is used for rendering to a texture, it looks like both DirectX and OpenGL don't support this feature on your video card.

In OpenGL there's a way around this problem but it's a lot slower, I don't think it would run smoothly.

I'm sorry but I think there's no solution to this problem. Embarassed
