Macross 2036 audio looping problem...

Hello there:

About a year ago (or maybe even more) I tried to play Macross 2039 in Magic Engine [v.1.0.0] and I noticed I had an audio problem with the game. Recently I tried a different version of it, now with Magic Engine [v. 1.1.3], and I noticed I still have the very same problem.

The problem is this: whenever a cinema plays and ends, the screen goes black and the audio for that cinema plays once more, then the game continues and I can play another chunk of the game until a new cinema comes, so I have to wait again until the audio loops once more with a blank screen. This way I've been able to finish the game (it's great!) but that audio issue really drives me away from the main experience. Sad

I've checked the audio files and they seem to be correct, they play the audio once so the problem must be in how Magic Engine manages the files (NOTE: this is the only CD-ROMē game I have with this problem). I also have a correct TOC in my cuesheet, so I was wondering if I had a problem with my cuesheet or if you know if I could tweak an audio setting to fix this.

I've tried yet another version of the game. The first one were ISO+MP3 files, the second one were ISO+APE files (which I had to convert to WAV files), and this time I've tried with a single ISO file in where the audio tracks are stored; no luck, the exact same problem emerged with each one of those three very different versions, that means it's a Magic Engine emulation issue.

I was just wondering how is it that nobody else seems to have this problem, as I searched these forums and only found two old topics with a similar problem, yet not the same.

Well, if anyone knows of a way to fix this, please let us know.

I have this game, and it runs fine in ME for me. I have copied all my games with CDrWIN into BIN/CUE format and mount the cue in Daemon and it works fine that way as well. Sounds like you are having a problem with bad rips.
