Or at least I can't make it work on my computer.

Truth is that the intro actually works, but that's all. When it ends, the opening theme should be displayed and after it the start game screen, but neither one of them shows on. In its place there is a pitch black screen, and in case you had activated the 640X480 mode before, it'll be nearly impossible to close the emulator without restarting your computer (even using ctlr+alt+spr doesn't help).

I would like to know if I'm doing something wrong at emulator's configuration or if it have to do with some type of incompatibility with this single game.

Thanks in advance ^_^.

Oh, and sorry for my crappy english.

Is it an original CD or an ISO? A bad ISO could make such problems.

The game I've played is, indeed, an ISO wich I burned on a CD. But I think it's not ISO's fault, because once I checked the game didn't work, I burned 3 more CDs with 3 different ISOs each one (from different sources, with different sizes and besides). Still the game doesn't work whatever copy I use.

The game intro runs on every one copy, but after it, the black screen thing I've spoken earlier happens.

I think it's not ISO's fault, but instead a missconfiguration I could have practiced or a game this emulator doesn't support.

I wish you could help me in all this matter. Greetings =).

I don't know what it could be then, DBZ works fine in MagicEngine. I'm not sure but I think it even works with MagicSystem.

When you are in the 'boot CD' menu and that the drive with DBZ is selected, does the title of the CD is displayed at the bottom of the screen, in the help bar, or does it just say 'boot CD'?

Just like you have said, in the help bar is displayed "boot CD" instead of the game title.

What does that mean?

That you have a bad dump and this is why you have all these problems.

But all the four ISOs I have are from different places >.<. Even I downloaded a version of the game from a famous Dragon Ball web page, and they put it like the ISO was alright.

It can't be possible that I somehow didn't burn well the 4 CDs?

Or some Magic Engine configuration I didn't notice that makes the ISO works?

The ISOs you downloaded are not necessarily bad, but the burnt CD is. When MagicEngine doesn't display the CD title it means that it didn't recognize the game, this is either because the CD is bad or it's an unknown game. Check the .cue on Necstasy. You could also try to burn it with a different burner application.

You should give a look at the "Repairing a PC-Engine CD's TOC" tutorial first. Wink
