Hello all,

I was just wondering if NEC ever produced any arcade-only hardware or if everything they produced was strictly for home use.

Thank you for your time.

I don't think NEC ever produced a full arcade system themselves. However, it should be noted that the PCB of Bloody Wolf (arcade game by Data East) is a modified CoreGrafx. Main difference is the YM2203 FM chipset.

I wouldn't be surprised if a variation of the PowerVR board ended up in a few arcades - that's about as close as I can think of. Smile

I do know that there was a turbografx arcade. Inside was a pc engine hooked up to a jamma board. Its pretty cool. I've collected the pcengine/jamma board and the official marquee so far. No I just gotta throw it in a cab Cool
