WOW! Good to hear Randimer!

Bought Resistance 2. Pretty damn good. Took me a lot longer to get into opposed to the first one, which grabbed me by the nuts, and made my heart swoon, right out of the packaging.

I miss the narration by the british woman from the first one. I thoght that was pretty cool, and they got rid of the feature where the controller has to be shaken when enemies grab you. I thought that was one of the great features that scared you. The grims are pretty scary in the new one.

Ok Resistance 2 IS fun, but man the first one is way better hands down. I am still not pulled into the games story, and i feel like i am playing a cold aimless shooter from a developer other than Insomniac. Right off the bat it annoyed me how when you are not sprinting, there is barely an bobbing action on your character, as almost like you are riding on a rail with no dips, bumps, or turns. Kinda stale. The graphics are tremendously great, but i really preferred the washed out gray hue's of the ruins of England/Europe. Giving Hale a voice is somewhat neat, but takes away the mystery of who he really is now, hence the British narration i miss. It feels like Resistance, and then it doesn't. I sadly, but fortunately, enjoyed the short PS3 demo i downloaded of Bioshock more than the hours i spent on Resistance 2.

YES i DO like Resistance 2, it just doesn't feel like a true Resistance sequel to me.

Welp...........just beat Resistance 2 just now. I know for sure now, Resistance FOM IIISSSSS WAYYYYY better. This game was way overhyped. I think the focus was so strong on the 60 player online, that attention was lacking on the single player campaign.

Sad........the first one was HUGELY enjoyable and i had high hopes on this one.

Sad sad sad sad............ Crying or Very sad

that bought back some memories Smile
i also just finished Tengai makyo ziria on PSP (PCE Collection version); not a bad little game.

nice to see you all live and well still

Rand i left you a PM with my address.

NEC Archives waned due to fighting between the leader of that site, and Nightwolve, and people on both scenes just tired of it, and eventaully activity ceased on the archives end of the battle. It was inevitable it would happen, because in the end, all people really wanted was to hang out and have fun, while sharing stuff, and BOY did we ever have fun. What great times. EVERYONE was clammering for new shares for the pc engine, and spending money like mad on Ebay to get them, or trading like crazy to get them, and while doing it, we met a bunch of crazy clowns such as Indrid Cooled, Azzman, Blood, Randimer, Sideshow, and myself, and we would talk about the most piss-yer-pants funny ass shit. I STILL have all my logs from private chat, and main chat saved from those days, and i still from time to time, poke my head in them to get a great laugh!

Now with the scene loaded with multiple resources for images, activity on servers has died, and peoples personal lives get in the way, and various other reasons(such as growing up), have slowed the NEC scene down a bit, but we all still manage to come here and check out our fave emulator and it's scene, so the memory still remains, and that is all that is important, is that we never forget. I'll die on my death bed knowing that NEC/Hudson produced one of the greatest gaming consoles of all time, regardless of the naysayers, and do so with a smile on my face.

Going back to the Archives/Nightwolve debacle, all i know is i get along with Nighty, and that was all that mattered to me.
