I have a DVD and a CD-RW. The DVD is always selected which wouldn't be a problem but I can't get audio tracks from it. I have no problem with the CD-RW. My question is, what is the exact configuration setting to get ME to select whichever drive I want. The FAQ says to input it into the .ini file. but I'm not sure of the exact settings. I've tried dozens of variations but no luck. If someone could just tell me the exact lines, I would appreciate it.

Could it be that you have no audio cables on your dvd and only on your cd-rw? who's the primary / secondary? do you use the digital cable or reguliar analog?

After checking these out and it still don't work, then this is a software issue... what's your pc's specs?

As for the drive selection, have a look at the # CD-ROM Settings # of your INI file, it should be pretty straightforward to understand how it works. But since you can obviously run CD games from your DVD drive, changing this won't be useful.

As Jabberwok says, you won't hear your audio tracks probably due to the fact that your DVD drive is not plugged to your audio card. Even if you configure it to play via Digital Playback in your Device Manager, Magic Engine doesn't support that mode and won't run at all.
