Yuck! Confused

(Sorry, I'm a hopeless purist! Laughing )

"If it's not 60Hz, I don't want it!"

An alternative way to do some blending: NVidia cards do their own fullscreen filtering if you set the 'zoom' to 'hardware' in PCE.INI. Doesn't occur on all modes/refresh rates. A little different than Eagle SAI, but along the same lines...

I agree with djnforce9.. Some kind of SAI engine would rule.. I personally like Kreed's 2xSAI engine, it's the same one that is used in the MegaDrive/Genesis Emulator Gens. Which is probably one of the over all best emulators in existance (for interface, performance, and features)

Magic Engine is beginning to show it's age.. It's time for a complete overhaul, kind of like what the ME webpage recently got.

Just my 2cent

Complete overhaul is not exactly fair...

Before going 'Eagle Mode' frenzy, I would really like to see a very small and nevertheless important improvement in the current TV mode feature.

David, could you simply add a 25% scanline option, which would give a very light scanline (much like in Gens and Zsnes)? Not difficult to add and it improves the TV mode dramatically.

Oh, thanks in advance Wink

David,

I'm pulling this thread out from the deep, just to make sure that you didn't forget my suggestion about the 25% scanline option. IMHO, it's a very good feature - and easy to implement in your forthcoming beta Wink

Regards,
Patrice

I just did some tests with that... well, it's almost not noticeable, it's almost like black scanlines... you sure you want it? Razz

Erm... Rolling Eyes

; scanlines:
; --
; 0 -> 100% (black scanlines)
; 1 -> 75%
; 2 -> 50% [default]
; 3 -> 0% (no scanlines)

http://namida.com/kaminarimon/tmp/Gens2_25.png
http://namida.com/kaminarimon/tmp/Gens3_Eagle.png

; scanlines:
; --
; 0 -> 100% (black scanlines)
; 1 -> 75% (dark gray scanlines)
; 2 -> 50% [default]
; 3 -> 25% (light gray scanlines)
; 4 -> 0% (no scanlines)

Qu'en penses-tu ? Smile

Bye,
Patrice

Ah!

Fullscreen Wink ...

Juste de petites suggestions.
