Hello Everyone,

Here is the pin out colors for the Turbo Grafix 16 Controller.

Pin 1 - Brown
Pin 2 - Red
Pin 3 - Orange
Pin 4 - Yellow
Pin 5 - Green
Pin 6 - Blue
Pin 7 - Purple
Pin 8 - Gray

I could not find this anywhere to be accurate on the Internet so after much testing this is what I found to work. You can order the chip from http://www.retrousb.com/index.php?productID=130

The picture they have on the website just shows the pin numbers but it does not say what color the wire is that is connected to it.

I hope this will save someone else the time of testing.

Thank you for your time and effort there friend! Amazing! You saved alot of people banging there heads. I work for a government electronics contractor, and it can be frustrating even when you have a print in front of you with all the wires and colors with all the twists, pins, solder sleeves, splices, jumpers, etc., so imagine doing all that without proper documentation!

What's even BETTER is instead of hacking the cord on a good controller, order the controller Extender cable and use that with the chip indicated.

Then you have a USB/ Turbopad adapter and can still use the Turbopad with the TG-16!!!
