i tried putting in one of my cds last night for the first time. it loaded the main screen and played the opening song. but then it comes up with "day 1", and then the game just goes to sleep.

i've tried all three system roms that are included with the emu. but, nothing works.

any ideas? are there other system roms or is the cd-rom card that's with my tg hardware out there somewhere as a rom?

thanks.

ICftD doesn't work correctly in Magic Engine. Have a look at the buglist maintained by David Michel in the Bug/Problem Reports section.

You could pay a visit to any ROM provider; look for the (usually called) GoodPCE database, get the three ROM named 'CD-ROM System V1.00 (J).pce', 'CD-ROM System V2.10 (J).pce' and 'Super CD-ROM2 System V3.00 (J).pce', put them in your ROMs directory, edit the Magic Engine INI file to point at the correct paths and there you go. The three System Cards in the Boot CD menu should now be available. Won't help you for this particular game, but certainly will for many others Smile

Your INI file should look like this:

# ----
# path settings
# ----

[path]

;
; system card paths
; --
;

system_card_1=D:\Emulation\Magic Engine\ROMs\CD-ROM System V1.00 (J).pce
system_card_2=D:\Emulation\Magic Engine\ROMs\CD-ROM System V2.10 (J).pce
system_card_3=D:\Emulation\Magic Engine\ROMs\Super CD-ROM2 System V3.00 (J).pce
system_card_4=
