				Hi-

I am having trouble getting any sound from any CD-Rom game (using my Cd-rom Drive or using Daemon tools). I researched my issue and I know I am not getting sound from my CD-rom drive because I don't have the cables connecting the drive to the sound card, but still I can't get sound using Daemon tools. That is, I can't get the background music of any game, but the in-game sounds come through fine.

I am using Windows XP and I am using the latest ME beta.

I wish I would have kept Windows 98 |

Youve gotta enable analog audio in Daemon Tools by selecting "options" and clicking on "analog audio".

And about burning the games to a CD, just do the same thing with Daemon Tools, but you also need Nero to burn with.

In Nero choose "copy a cd" and then select the Daemon Tools Virtual CD Drive (but make sure the game is loaded on Daemon Tools) and then just burn the CD, it should work then... |

Do what grey001 said. But if redbook audio is still not played, then also make sure that "CD Audio" and/or "CD Digital" input lines are not muted (or at a very low volume) in your sound mixer. You can check whether this is the case by looking at Magic Engine's log.txt:

 	  | Code: | checking sound card mixer ("SB Live! Mixer [1480]" v4.2)...

 +SPEAKERS:   vol =  56 [00000000/0000FFFF]

   -COMPACTDISC [ 0] vol =  51 [00000000/0000FFFF] (selected as CD input line)

   -LINE        [ 1] vol =  78 [00000000/0000FFFF]

   -MICROPHONE  [ 2] vol =  48 [00000000/0000FFFF]

Make sure the cd audio volume is not equal to zero. |
