First off, I'm just glad to see the update finally nearing completion. ME has always been one of my favorite emulators, and it was worth every penny to register. Many thanks!

Bad news first:

1) Dracula X intro bug.
2) My Saitek P880 USB gamepads aren't detected at all. Kind of disappointing, since they're the best gamepads on the market.~_^
3) Steam Hearts still crashing. Is there something wrong with this game?
4) Tearing due to lack of V-sync and or Triple-Buffering.

Now, the good news:

Other than those, which I see have been reported already, I haven't run into any additional problems. Many of the non-working games from the previous version were fixed, which is great. The hi-res filter looks incredible when you're outputting video to a TV set... excellent work with that. I assume that the other graphic options, like scanlines, will be implemented into the GUI in the final version?

Really looking forward to the full version release, and best of luck to you in the future.

Kai

You can already set the scanlines via the GUI.

Try the hires filter with about 20% scanlines and cry T_T

Just testing Ys1&2 and ME100 PR2, works fine, no more chopped sound.

About the joypad/joystick compatibility :
. My PC Propad 6 works nice (NO USB )
. My Gamecube pad (with "Gamecube to USB" connector) does'nt work

And seems that backupram files come with another format : ME100 dont recognize ME099b5 saves, either with solofile backup.ram and inside the indexed version. So my oldies loved Ys1&2 saves are no longer usable... Think

Anyway David you made a great piece of code. Bravo!

ah, just in case... here is the Gamepad stats from log.txt. Gamepad 0 is the one without USB (PC Propad 6), Gamepad 1 is the Gamecube Pad connected with a USB connector.

Another bug:

Every time you run ME, sound interpolation doesn't seem to be effective until you manually bring up the Audio panel, click on None (or any other mode) and reselect the mode you want to use.

You know, you're absolutely right. I didn't even notice the slider for it. ^_^

They work right in every video mode except "full", where they're distorted.
