I didn't know there was an arcade verions of the PCE game, Bonk - BC-Kid.

I’ll just have to download the MAME Rom & try it out.

My favorite, was BC-Kid AMIGA version, by Factor 5. I think Chris Huelsbeck might have done the music for it?...

The arcade version looks as good.

That looks awesome! If you find the MAME, please link it.

Thanks!

The game, if dumped at all, is not supported by Mame.

Yeah, the Amiga soundtrack was composed by Chris Hülsbeck. Problem is, the tunes are not the same at all and don't sound that great compared to the ones composed by Hirohiko Takayama. They definitely lack the original Japanese touch.

Talking about the Amiga version... I'm a die-hard Amiga fan, but I have to say that this conversion -- although far from being shabby -- is really inferior to the PC Engine one. Sprites are much smaller, the backgrounds have shrinked (cf. the stomach of the stegosaurus) and Genjin has been redrawn to look like in the second episode. What the...? The gameplay is correct, considering we didn't have any gaming device as ergonomic as a joypad back then.

Well must admit while the gfx aspect is pretty decent , even if not accurate, this conversion is really disappointing because of its ugly sounds.
Could have expected way better from an Amiga machine.

As for the Arcade version , the dump is around but the Mame driver is incomplete right now.
Some protection still have to be figured out for the game being fully emulated.
It just kind of boot atm.

My bad. Just checked again, the Amiga soundtrack was composed by Rüdolf Stember with Chris' own TFMX tracker -- hence the disappointment Wink
