I noticed two things on the Audio config menu.
What ever settings I set in the pce.ini file for this:
adpcm audio volume
The adpcm audio volume always comes back to full (31) in the menu.

It also happens if I change the settings via the menu after I exit ME 1.0 PR4 and then restart it. The adpcm audio volume always comes back to full (31)

The other volume settings do change and remain at their adjusted settings.

The setting under the pce.ini file:
;
; adpcm audio volume
; --
; 0 .. 31
;

adpcm_audio_volume=20

Doesn't change. The bug is on the audio menu of the GUI. Regardless of what setting you use. The next time you start up ME 1.0 the bar goes to full.

Would it be eventually feasible to have a separate interpolation setting for PCM/ADPCM as well? Right now it seems to be dependent from the PSG interpolation -- which does a great job for PSG but PCM is still a bit hissing.

That new sound routine really rocks :)

Of course it does. Razz

There's currently no interpolation on PCM and ADPCM, I was not sure what to do... For ADPCM may be a combo noise filter + cubic interpolation would do good. Any idea?

I like how it sounds crisp, though it's a tad too crisp Wink

Do you suggest a fixed interpolation by default, or a user-definable setting? As long as it's not too filtered, any setting you see fit will make me happy. A few tests might be required though -- Emerald Dragon is a good candidate.

user-definable... Yup I like it a bit crip too, that's why I hesitated to add a filter, in this case just a noise filter could be ok, I will run a few tests.
