One of the last feature missing in ME is the support of the PC-Engine CD+G reading function.

No, it's not very usefull, nobody own CD+G and no one is interested by this! I know I know but on a real PCE, it's possible !

David, if you need, I can provide some CD+G _________________ -- HTTP://WWW.PC-ENGINE.ORG -- |

It's interesting to note that CD+G (karaoke) capable players cost a fortune in the US, and the few software players available out there are all shareware. Phy Systeme's CD+G plug-in for Winamp is probably the most popular one, and it costs 25$ alone. Being able to play CD+G discs on a PC Engine or a Saturn is definitely a plus.

The only problem with software players (and emulators, I guess) is that they require a CD/DVD drive that is capable of reading CD+G subchannels. Many recent drives can't even do that. Anyway, I forsee a potential niche market for Magic Engine here |
