Looks to be the same as everyone else:

[INPUT INIT]

opening direct input DLL... OK

init direct input... OK

scanning gamepad device(s)...

  - gamepad 0 : Adaptoid (buttons=14, axes=2, povs=0)

found 1 gamepad(s)

[GAMEPAD STATS]

gamepad 0 stats:

status: 0004

poll: failed=3103 success=0

axes (2):

  - 0: min=268435456 max=-268435456 [0 (0 / 0)]

  - 1: min=268435456 max=-268435456 [0 (0 / 0)]

povs (0):

buttons (14):

  - 0: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 1: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 2: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 3: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 4: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 5: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 6: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 7: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 8: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 9: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 10: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 11: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 12: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

  - 13: off=0 on=0 bitmask=00

I can go into the menu and re-map all the buttons; just can't use it ingame.

Also, will it be possible to map the X and Y axis to buttons; there are many different USB adapters and gamepads out there that show the D-Pad as four separate buttons instead of two axis. _________________

Well, my controller's D-pad is recognized as a pov hat, and ME seems to allow mapping that to the x and y axes. My gamepad also has a button that switches it into a "digital" mode, in which the d-pad functions as the x and y axes. So it seems like I'll be fine either way.

If your d-pad reports itself as normal buttons, then it seems like you may not be able to use it unless David makes some modifications... |
